When Greg combined the “poker mindset” with “mindfulness,” he won $102,542 at the World Series of Poker, lost 75 pounds, and built a world-class literary agency. The former PwC consultant (with an MBA in finance) draws on Eastern practices he learned while living at a health retreat in Thailand. Greg has immersed himself in the world's most transformative teachings, training with Joe Dispenza, John Gray, David Deida, Tony Robbins, Byron Katie, Wim Hof, Mantak Chia, and completing The New Warrior Training Adventure with The Mankind Project. A Certified Health Coach, he has done more than 20 fasts ranging from 7 to 15 days and finished the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage and the Tucson Marathon.
Greg is the author of the #1 Wall Street Journal bestseller Your Next Five Moves (Simon & Schuster), The Poker MBA (Random House), The Leading Man (Vital), The Finance Doctor (Vital), Choose Your Enemies Wisely (Penguin Portfolio) and Amarillo Slim’s memoirs (HarperCollins). Two of the books were collaborations with Patrick Bet-David.
Greg co-founded a literary agency that placed more than 130 books with major publishers and developed several films with Academy Award-winning actors and producers. He has served as a corporate spy for Inter-Continental Hotels, a change management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, a housing coordinator for the Atlanta Olympic Village, and has sold portrait packages, office products, and home improvements.
A graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, he has written for Grantland, ThePostGame, Yahoo!, The Good Men Project, MeetMindful, and Card Player.
Greg has led workshops in Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand and has given keynote speeches for AOL, Skadden Arps law firm, The Cornell Club, Young Presidents Organization, BioHorizons, Paint EZ, Million Dollar Roundtable, and FIRMA, among others.
Greg loves to play guitar, sing, travel, do yoga, and play with his dog Zeus.
